Look at the World through New Eyes

Our range of Dream Eyes Colored Contact Lenses feature an exclusive selection of color lenses in various designs encapsulating all of the colors of the rainbow and more - giving you the chance to complete that fresh look you’ve been dreaming of.

Detailed research tells us the rarest eye colors in the world today are green and amber. It is regularly quoted that only two per cent of the world's population have green eyes.

In European Americans green color eyes are most prevalent in people of recent Celtic or Germanic ancestry. Celebrities with green eyes such as Emma Stone, Adele, John Hamm, Amanda Seyfreid, Rihanna and super model Tyra Banks have that special glint in their eye that draws us to them - that certain something special.

In some cases superstars' eyes have been so powerful, alluring and mesmerising they have become the subject of beautiful stories and tales of their almost supernatural quality. Stories about Elizabeth Taylor’s stunning violet eyes were legendary in Hollywood and the star’s beautiful eyes were talked about in hushed tones. But, it is in fact impossible for humans to possess violet eyes. What the movie starlet was actually blessed to possess were deeply alluring blue eyes which, under certain studio lights, appeared to be violet.

However with Dream Eyes colored contacts violet eyes are achievable and we carry a fantastic selection of subtly different color contacts for you to choose from - make sure you check out our violet and purple range of lenses

Natural amber eyes are incredibly rare in humans, even scarcer than green eyes. But there are some celebrities fortunate enough to have amber eyes - Nicole Richie, Evangeline Lilly and Darren Criss. Amber eyes are sometimes referred to as 'wolf eyes' due to their strong golden/yellow color with a hint of copper - similar to that seen in the eyes of wolves and cats. Dream Eyes has a tremendous market leading range of Cat Eye contacts and orange lenses which will fascinate and delight you if you’re planning that amber-eyed, wild look.

Blue Eyes, My Baby's got Blue Eyes

Blue color contacts are incredibly popular but did you know that in reality no-one has naturally blue eyes. Unlike brown, green or hazel eyes, blue eyes have no pigment in them at all. Blue eyes get their color in exactly the same way water and the sky get their blue color. They scatter light so more blue light reflects back out.

The coloured part of your eye, the iris, is a structure made up of muscle and other cells. You can see the iris working when it squeezes and relaxes to let in more, or less, light through the pupil. The iris has two layers and for just about everyone, even people with blue eyes, the back layer has brown pigment. The front layer of the iris, the stroma, is made up of overlapping fibres and cells and for people with brown eyes the cells have brown pigment. But, if there is no pigment in this front layer the fibres scatter and absorb some of the wavelengths of light that come in. More blue light gets back out and so the eyes appear to be blue.

As blue eyes get their color from the light coming in they can appear as different colors at any different time in different lights.

Babies don’t have much pigment in their eyes when they are born which is why their eyes can look very blue. My baby really has got blue eyes.

Genetic research shows blue eyes only appeared in the last 6,000 to 10,000 years, before then everyone had brown eyes. Blue eyes have probably spread through the population because so many people like the way they look and have chosen to have children with blue-eyed people.

Our fascination with blue eyes has increased in recent years but only eight per cent of the world population has blue eyes with approximately 80 per cent of the population having brown eyes. In many cultures blue is considered to be the most beautiful eye color. According to the majority of surveys people with blue eyes are generally considered to be more attractive than those with brown, green or hazel eyes. Perhaps this is linked to the fact that in recent years many of our favorite celebrities have had baby blues, dating as far back as Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra. The stars of today with blue eyes include Leo DiCaprio, Megan Fox, Kylie Jenner, Taylor Swift, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, Selema Gomez, Chris Hemsworth and supermodels such as Miranda Kerr and Brooklyn Decker all have beautiful eyes that can captivate with just one glance. Can you guess which of these stars is naturally blue-eyed and which have had a little help from colored contacts? Check out our Inspiration Pages to find out who's who and what’s what. Research studies have shown people born with blue eyes have a single common ancestor. With Blue eyes becoming increasingly rare in the United States, perhaps it is no wonder our Blue Contacts remain our best-selling color lenses. Whatever eye color you are blessed with our blue color lenses will temporarily create that stunning blue eye look that is so popular today. Our blue contacts are so well designed and manufactured they can even bring the darkest of brown eyes to a shimmering blue color. We have a great range of Hazel Colored Contacts that will get your eyes popping. Get Comfortable

It is important to look good, but even more important to feel great. All our colored contacts are supplied by Dream Eyes and we chose these contacts specifically because they are produced with a high water content ensuring the eyes remain hydrated and comfortable whilst wearing the lenses.

Our customers have reported back that our color contact lenses are so comfortable they forget they are wearing them, apart from when they look in the mirror of course! Please see our review section for more customer feedback.

We have produced a detailed Care Guide which provides information on how to care for your lenses. Dream Eyes color lenses are FDA approved and manufactured within ISO International guidelines, it is important when choosing your lenses that you buy from a retailer with these credentials.

Colored Contacts are safe and easy to wear. It is, however very important to use and clean them correctly, to avoid eye irritation and ensure the best performance from your lenses. As long as you keep your contact lenses clean and follow the good hygiene instructions, colored contacts are safe and comfortable to wear. The Care Guide also provides information on the life span of contact lenses and expiry dates. Our Color Contacts have a 12-month life span once opened, so you can enjoy wearing them again and again. It is vital to ensure you clean your lenses after each time you wear them and store them in a contact lens case and use the correct contact lens solution. We have got you covered with our all-in-one Care Kits that will provide you with all the information you need to enjoy your lenses safely and keep them clean.

First Time Wearer?

If you are planning to wear colored contacts for the first time we highly recommend you wear your new lenses for no more than eight hours for the first use to avoid your eyes dehydrating.

Many of our first time customers express some concern about putting their lenses in for the first time so we recommend the use of soft-tipped contact lens tweezers to insert your lenses. These soft tipped tweezers will also make removing the lenses a much simpler process. The use of tweezers means you do not have to touch the lenses and also reduce the risk of dirt or bacteria getting onto the lens and into your eye - as this is the main cause of eye irritation.

You must store your lenses in a new contact lens case and it is also important to use the correct contact lens solution to store and clean your lenses.

All of our lenses have a one year life span once opened so correct storage and maintaining the cleanliness of the lenses is important for a good experience throughout the life span of your chosen colored contacts. If you accidentally wear your lenses for more than an eight hour duration, it is imperative you remove them immediately you realise. Your eyes may feel dry or sore but this sensation should subside when you allow your eyes the opportunity to recover. Do not wear any contact lenses for at least 48 hours afterwards and use eye drops to reduce irritation if necessary. If the problem persists then contact your optometrist.
